  23.     ALT isn't a key which generates output on its own; it isn't visible
  24. at the Bios level and above where MS-DOS Kermit works. There is no such ASCII 
  25. code as "meta" and hence nothing can go across the wire for it. I believe that 
  26. you want bytes with their high bits turned on, which is fine for ASCII and not
  27. so fine elsewhere (Sweden?). The way to do that is use SET KEY to define
  28. the codes you wish to be sent for the keys you expect to press.
  29.     And that brings us to your personalized keymap. It's not difficult
  30. to generate one but CK and MSK keycodes are different.
